Yoga With Elle News week of 8/10/2020
Hi Everyone,
I found out tonight that Friday morning yoga classes aren’t possible for us at Infinity this fall due to a scheduling conflict. I think Wednesday would work for Infinity but I also get it’s not ideal to have a class twice a week with the times so close together. And some of you are hoping for 3 classes a week.
I don’t know what the answer is for us right now, but I’m looking into our options and promise to keep you informed. Meanwhile if you have thoughts or suggestions please reach out! I’m feeling pretty bummed about this, so I’m also accepting and giving cyber hugs. The young people tell me this is how you do that: ((( ))).
This week, we have our Monday class at Infinity and Friday class at Sinclair. I also have a lovely meditation I’ll be sharing mid-week. Last Friday’s Sinclair practice is below, enjoy!
xoxo

News to read and a New Video 8-6-2020
Hi Everyone,
Our video is ready! Heads up we had a bit of trouble with the sound right at the end. Since neither of us had time to re-record it yesterday, and you can still easily understand what I’m saying, I decided to run with it. For those of you with highly attuned ears, our apologies if it distracts you from your practice.
Root River Yogis, looks like fall session will be online, I’m planning on keeping both Wednesday evening and Thursday morning classes, hope to see you there! Also if you have borrowed Root River Props please remind me so I can pass accurate information onto Amanda. Thank You <3
Infinity Yogis, I was part of Heather’s teacher meeting earlier this week and found out that 20-punch cards are not available right now. The reason Heather gave is that she plans to go digital and wants to cut down on the number of classes she has to transfer over once that happens. As far as I understand, a 20-punch card or something equivalent will be offered once it is up and running. Like much of life right now, this is all subject to change. Please talk to me if this is problematic for you.
Heather is also figuring out Zoom (or another streaming service) for Infinity. Please reach out and let me know if this is something you’d be interested in. Either right now as an additional option along with in-person classes, or as an alternative to videos if the studio needs to close again.
If you respond to this (and I hope you do), please include how many classes you’re planning on attending and what days of the week you would come to class and/or attend on Zoom. As I figure out my Fall schedule this information will help me out immensely.
Maybe see you tomorrow (Friday) for Yoga with Friends at Sinclair Park at 8:15am.

Gentle Heart Opening 8-4-20
This isn’t just a sneaky way to say back bend class, I mean opening all sides of your heart!
Please note: we had some issues with sound the last 8-10 minutes of class. Brett did an amazing job salvaging the recording but you’ll notice that there’s something going on. I decided not to re-record it in interest of getting this video to you sooner than later. Sound aside, I think you’ll Love it!
Yoga with Elle News 8/3/2020
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick note to let you know what this week has in store for us yoga-wise and to let you know, as of right now, there’s still room for one more in Monday’s (tomorrow) 8:15am Infinity class. Contact me if you’d like to register.
I’ve been thinking a lot about yoga and its relationship to creativity. One of the aspects I’m playing with is that even within a led practice we have a lot of choice about how we show up and what we emphasize in poses within ourselves. It reminds me of learning to play piano from sheet music. I remember once I knew a piece well, that feeling of sitting down to play and something within me pouring out through the notes, even though it wasn’t something I had personally written. I encounter a similar feeling as I teach and as I practice. I’m curious if you do too. If you have any thoughts on this please take a moment to share them.
Love You,
Elle

Yoga with Elle News 7/27/2020
Hi Everyone,
Guess what? Thanks to Brett, this newsletter is hosted on a new Yoga with Elle site along with all of our videos!
If you explore the pull down menu under “Videos” you’ll see that you can choose what kind of video you’re in the mood for. If you click “recent,” you’ll find all the videos in chronological order. You can also watch the videos onsite rather than having YouTube distractions.
Some of us have been able to return to practicing together on Fridays at Sinclair and Mondays at Infinity, but many of us haven’t been able to see each other in a long while. I’m putting together an email list in the form of a shared google doc for everyone who wants to be in contact so you can have access to each other as well as me. Please let me know if you’re interested.
If you are on Facebook, we also have access to each other in the private Yoga with Elle Group. There are other ways to connect besides the dreaded Facebook, such as Slack, and I’d be glad to set something like that up if there’s interest. The advantage is that we could have conversations, share links, ask each other questions and, most importantly, it’s not Facebook. The disadvantage is that it’s yet another thing to keep track of on the computer, which is why I haven’t done this already.
Last week’s Thursday morning Root River Yin class went well and we’ve decided to practice Yin once a session. I’ll be checking with the Wednesday evening crew to see if they are also interested in a Yin practice.
As of right now, there’s still room in Monday’s (tomorrow) 8:15am Infinity class. Contact me if you’d like to register.
